What Theo checks before anything goes live

One message, and the change is online. In between, four things happen that you never see but that protect your website from mistakes.

"Can Theo break my website?" is the question we hear most often. The short answer: no. The long answer is this post.

Between your message and the change on the website lie a few minutes. Four steps happen in that time.

1. Theo understands what you mean

Theo knows your website, your copy and your tone. If you write "from Monday we have new opening hours, Mon to Fri 9 to 6", he knows the hours appear on the homepage and in the contact section, and changes both. If something is unclear, he asks instead of guessing.

2. The change is checked technically

Before anything is published, a technical check runs: does the page still build? Do the links work? Are the images there and do they fit the layout? If the check fails, the website stays as it was. You get a message, not a broken page.

3. Copy that Theo writes waits for your word

Theo can suggest a short news item or a product description. Copy like that never goes online on its own. He sends you the suggestion, and only after your approval word is it published. You keep control over everything that carries your name.

4. Everything is logged and reversible

Every change goes into a log: what, when, through which channel. If you do not like the result, you write "undo" and the page is back to how it was. No hunting for backups, no call to the agency.

And your data?

Every customer has their own Theo, separate from everyone else. He only talks to the accounts you have approved, and to nobody else.

That is the whole trick: not less control, but less work. More on the Theo page; the answers to the most common questions are at the bottom of every page.
