"We should really get more digital" is a sentence many business owners know. It usually stays a sentence, because the topic feels too big: new software, new processes, new habits, and the business keeps running in the meantime.
The good news: digitalisation is not a big project you tick off once. It is made of many small steps, and the first one is smaller than you think.
Start with what costs you time
The best starting point is not technology but your everyday work. Ask yourself which tasks repeat every week and slow you down:
- The same information is entered in three places.
- Files sit on individual computers, and nobody knows which version is current.
- Enquiries arrive by email, phone and chat and end up nowhere in particular.
- The website is out of date because maintaining it always comes last.
Which of these annoys you most? That is where the first step pays off.
Four areas where we help
1. A shared workspace. Email, calendar and files in one place, for the whole team, also from home. We set up Google Workspace: domain, email DNS, users, shared drives, migration and training. If you prefer to keep your data on your own hardware, we set up Nextcloud on a server of your own. Both work locally on your network with secure remote access, or in the cloud.
2. Processes that run on their own. When enquiries, quotes or reports always follow the same pattern, a system can take over. That can be a workflow that moves data between your tools, or an AI agent that does part of the work. Which task pays off first is something we work out in the audit.
3. A website that is maintained. A new website is one part. The other is that it stays up to date afterwards. That is what Theo is for: you write to him in the chat what should change, and a few minutes later it is online.
4. A brand people recognise. Being visible digitally also means looking the same everywhere. Strategy, design system, photo and video belong to our Brand area.
How we work
Every system at Struktur starts with an audit. We look at how your team works, which tools you use and where time gets stuck. That gives a prioritised list: what brings the most, and what can wait? Then we build what brings the most and keep it running.
You do not have to change everything at once. You decide where we start.
Three examples from our work
- Servige, Chile: The website is maintained through an agent of its own in Telegram. The team has since created over 100 products themselves, by message. More in the Servige case.
- Website maintenance by chat: On our own sites a scheduled update used to take around 60 minutes. Today it takes about two. The system runs at a retailer in Berlin. More in the website maintenance case.
- Local server in healthcare: A server where the client's specialist applications run, everything in one place and within reach. That lowers costs and increases security. More in the healthcare IT case.
What now?
You do not have to know what you need. Tell us what costs you the most time in your day, and we will tell you honestly whether and how we can help. Everything else about our offer is under Systems, or you can get in touch directly on the contact page.
